A nebulizer is used to administer medication in the form of a mist inhaled into the lungs. By means of the nebulizer, the liquid medication is broken up into small aerosol droplets, which can be direcly inhaled by the user. In this way, the dosage of the drug is much higher that with a powder inhaler for example.
