Improve breathing, in multiple ways

Improve your breathing with the Respiron from POWERbreathe, a multifunctional respiratory trainer that is suitable for daily use. It’s a very useful device for pulmonary rehabilitation or lung physiotherapy, at your own pace, at home! There are 3 colored balls in the Respiron. Inhale through the mouthpiece with force and let the balls float.

By practicing on a daily basis, you will train the quality of your breathing (you will breathe more calmly and more gently). This allows you to loosen stuck mucus more easily which gives you better protection against infections. In cylinder 1, you’ll find a “window” (two lines) for yet another exercise. By balancing the ball between the two lines, you do not train the strength, but the depth of your breathing.

Training with a resistance of your choice, sitting or standing

The POWERbreathe Respiron is easy to adjust, so that you can exercise on a resistance of your choice: 0 (easy), 1 (average), 2 (difficult), 3 (very difficult). Has exercising with the device become too easy? Increase the exercise intensity by turning the blue regulator. After reaching level 3, the difficulty of the exercise may be further advanced by keeping the balls up for an increasing number of seconds. Children or adults with little lung capacity can have difficulties raising the balls. You can easily reduce the exercise intensity with the stickers that are enclosed. Obstruct the air vents at the base of cylinder 3 or at the base of cylinders 2 and 3 (for the lightest resistance).

Would you like to train your expiratory muscles too? Hold the Respiron upside down and blow through the mouthpiece. This way you can combat shortness of breath and increase your cough strength. You can use the Respiron Respiratory Trainer in a sitting or standing position.

Monitor your inhalation over time

Apart from improving your breathing, the Respiron is also a useful tool for monitoring your inhalation over time. In the manual you’ll find a table, so that you can keep track of your daily progress. Based on the number of seconds and number of balls you can keep up, you can easily read in the table what the strength of your inhalation is, expressed in mL/s.

Tips for hygiene

The POWERbreathe Respiron is a single user device. Due to the risk of cross-contamination, the device should not be shared with other users. We recommend you to clean the mouthpiece and the tube after each use in soapy water with mild soap, preferably Pürdoux Soap. The POWERbreathe Cleaning Tablets offer a solution for thorough cleaning, once a week.
